TRAUMA
INFORMED APPROACH
At Chaigeley School, our trauma-informed approach places emotional
safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. We understand
that many of our pupils have experienced adversity, so we work to create
a nurturing environment built on trust, consistency, and strong
relationships. Staff are trained to use compassionate, non-judgemental
communication strategies, including the PACE approach (Playfulness,
Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy), to support emotional regulation and
foster secure attachments.
