SPECIAL
EDUCATIONAL NEEDS
AND DISABILITIES
Working in partnership with parents
We believe that strong partnerships with parents are essential to each
pupil’s success. We provide an annual report on every child’s progress
and maintain open, ongoing communication.
We work closely with parents and pupils to tailor support effectively and
ensure the provisions have a positive impact on learning and
development. Where needed, we can arrange for an advocate to support
families and ensure their voices are heard and valued in the decisionmaking process.
Preparing for
life beyond School
We are committed to helping our
pupils prepare for adulthood by
promoting independence, social
inclusion, and employability.
Starting early, we tailor support
around each pupil’s strengths,
interests, and aspirations.
Starting early, we tailor support
around each pupil’s strengths, interests, and aspirations. We ensure they
are fully involved in school life and receive personalised guidance as they
plan for life beyond school. From Year 9 onwards, EHC plan reviews focus
on future pathways including further education, employment, independent
living, and good health. Our pupils also benefit from independent careers
advice and meaningful engagement with external organisations to help
them understand the opportunities available.
