Drawing and Talking
Therapy
What Is Drawing and Talking?
Children are invited to draw freely in a safe, calm environment, supported by a
trained adult who listens without judgement or interpretation.
It helps children to:
Express and process emotions
Build trust and feel heard
Understand difficult
experiences
Develop emotional regulation
Sand Play
Sand Play helps children
create stories, scenes or symbolic
worlds using sand and a range of
resources. It allows them to explore
thoughts and feelings safely and at
their own pace.
It’s especially helpful for:
Trauma and attachment issues
Anxiety or low mood
Bereavement or change
Non-verbal or younger children
