Professional Development and
Training Opportunities
Juniper Therapy is committed to helping schools build confident, knowledgeable
teams who can support pupils’ emotional and social development effectively.
We offer a range of training that promotes inclusive, trauma-informed practice
for teachers, support staff, and SENCOs. We are able to tailor training to your
needs across a range of areas.
Training could include:
Motional and ways to integrate a trauma informed approach.
Language and communication approaches e.g., Blank levels, comic strip
conversations, Lego therapy.
Creating Sensory-Friendly and Accessible Environments: designing learning
spaces that reduce overwhelm and promote calm.
Practical Strategies for Supporting Sensory Differences: helping children
regulate through movement, structure, and sensory tools.
Outreach Consultation and Collaborative Problem Solving
Juniper Therapy also offers consultative sessions for school staff who wish to
explore challenges around individual pupils or cohorts. These sessions provide
reflective space to share concerns, identify barriers, and co-design effective
intervention strategies.
Consultations can be arranged:
As part of early intervention planning when concerns are emerging.
Following specific incidents or patterns of behaviour.
To support SENCOs and pastoral teams in decision-making and next steps.
This collaborative model ensures joined-up working, supports early help
principles, and empowers schools to build capacity in supporting pupils with
SEMH and communication needs.
